Williams driver Logan Sargent suffered a heavy crash during third practice at the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix, putting his participation in qualifying later today in question, BTA reported.
The 23-year-old American lost control, left the track, after which his car caught fire. Sargent escaped without injury, but free practice was temporarily suspended. The session, which took place on a wet track, was resumed after officials extinguished the fire and loaded the car onto a truck.

It is the latest in a string of crashes for the only American driver in Formula 1. Sargent crashed at the Canadian Grand Prix in June and collided with Kevin Magnussen at the Miami Grand Prix in May. He also crashed during practice for the Japanese Grand Prix in April.
Sargent will be replaced in "Williams" by Carlos Sainz from 2025. The red flags appeared 14 minutes after the start of practice, and a huge number of fans in the stands were still waiting for their favorite and championship leader Max Verstappen with "Red Bull" to make a tour.
Three-time world champion Verstappen overtook cars of "McLaren" and "Mercedes" in the pit lane, crossing the white line in an attempt to make a quicker exit and was shown a black and white caution flag for failing to follow the race director's instructions.
Pierre Gasly from "Alpin" won the fastest lap in the third practice - 1:20.311 minutes, ahead of Kevin Magnussen of "Haas" and Valtteri Bottas of "Sauber". Qualifying for a place at the Dutch Grand Prix is later today.
