Göztepe with its Bulgarian head coach Stanimir Stoilov lost 2:3 to Fenerbahce in the derby of the 21st round of the Turkish Super League. The Bulgarian specialist's team played a very good first half, but within nine minutes at the beginning of the second half they conceded three goals and this turned out to be decisive for the final result. The Moroccan striker of the hosts Youssef En-Nesiri scored two of the three goals, BTA reported.
After this result, Göztepe remains in 5th place in the standings with 34 points - 2 ahead of Beşiktaş, and 2 behind Eyupspor, which passed them. Fenerbahçe has 48 and remains 6 behind the leader Galatasaray.
The guests from Izmir opened the scoring in the 25th minute through Juan da Silva, who received the ball after several unsuccessful attempts by the home team's defenders to clear. He controlled it around the arc, advanced and from 10 meters pierced goalkeeper Ergübayat. A little later, Göztepe was close to the second goal. Receiving the ball from the right wing, Denis escaped from his personal guard, entered the touchline and returned it to the penalty area. The pass was not stopped by Çaalar Soyuncu, it fell to Çalma Silva, who fired a shot. But Oguz Aydın blocked the ball in front of the goal line.
However, Fenerbahçe showed class at the beginning of the second half and within 9 minutes scored three goals. En-Nesiri equalized in the first seconds of the second half, in the 53rd minute he made it 2:1 after a pass from Filip Kostic from a corner kick. In the 55th minute the score was already 3:1 after a goal from Oguz Aydin and a pass from the Brazilian Fred.
However, Stanimir Stoilov's players did not give up and again reached a goal. Tanzanian midfielder Novatus Miroshi reduced the deficit in the 82nd minute after a cross from a free kick from the left and another series of ill-considered clearances.
