Petar Klisarov to FACTI: Changes are made through parties, not through protests (VIDEO) - 1

In the Balkans, we see a wave of protests against prices, but this is only one side. I will give an example with Canada, where there was such a large-scale protest of drivers years ago. This protest was crushed. The leader of the protest is in prison, trucks worth 300-400 thousand dollars were taken away. Business suffered damage and filed large-scale cases. They crushed the protest there. This was an absolutely police story, but they crushed it. There may be elections in Canada, but it will not be very soon, because they are now playing tricks on Trudeau to continue governing after he resigned. On February 14, the Canadian parliament will convene, but we will see what will happen. He announced this to Lili Marinkova in the studio of “FACTI“ and the show “Conversation“ Petar Klisarov, chairman of the “Direct Democracy“ party.

“As for the prices in our country, some time ago I spoke with a colleague of yours who went to Germany. He told me that carrots cost 1 euro there, and in our country they are 3 euros. Three times more!? Why? A journalist from Croatia was indignant and said that he saw what the prices were in Italy, then asked why it was more expensive in Croatia. People are rebelling and they have the right, but this is a free market. Look, protests are an opportunity to express dissatisfaction, but protests do not change things. I have been following the development of protests in our country for a long time and what is noticeable - a protest is announced in one place, immediately a counter-protest is held in another … NGOs, associations, etc. immediately react. What people need to know is that changes are made through parties, through participation in parties, not through protests. Parties are the ones that can bring about changes. People should choose a party to vote for, but they should also want to have the right to hold people in the party accountable when they do not fulfill their promises. We have commented on this more than once in the “Direct Democracy“ party. There should be a mechanism in the parties through which those who are in leading positions in a given party are held accountable,“ added Klisarov.
