Poland has ordered the delivery of 52 more unmanned aerial systems "Flying Eye" (FlyEye) for its armed forces under a contract worth 100 million zlotys (23.16 million euros), Defense Minister Władysław Kośniak-Kamisz announced, quoted by the Polish Press Agency (PAP), BTA reported.

The deal was signed yesterday between the national weapons agency and the weapons manufacturer WB Electronics in accordance with the framework agreement, which provides for the purchase of a total of 400 "Flying Eye" systems. with a total of 1600 drones by the end of 2026

Unmanned aerial vehicles are "the present and the future of the battlefield,", Koshinyak-Kamish emphasized at the ceremony. He noted that the "Flying Eye" they are already used by the Polish armed forces, as well as by neighboring Ukraine, where they have proven their effectiveness in the war against Russia.

These surveillance drones are used to gather intelligence around the clock. They can take both photos during the day and thermal imaging at night.

The manufacturer describes the "Flying Eye" as a modern, advanced solution that can be used for a very wide range of tasks. The new version 3.6 features navigation updates, enhanced security and full integration with "Topaz" (Topaz) - digital fire control system.
