Two people were killed and one was injured in the missile attack in Odessa this morning, the chairman of the Odessa regional military administration Oleg Kiper announced in the "Telegram" application, BTA reported.
The injured person is a 17-year-old boy. Three houses were damaged, where a fire broke out from falling debris while hitting a target. Four houses were destroyed, the governor informed.
The Bulgarians in the Odessa region number over 150,000 people and are the third largest ethnic community according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
Russian forces used 120 missiles and 90 drones in a massive combined attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure early this morning, and Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed over 140 air targets, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in "Ex", quoted by Ukrinform.
"The large-scale combined attack was directed against all regions of Ukraine. During the night and this morning, Russian terrorists used various types of drones, including "Shahed", as well as cruise, ballistic and aeroballistic missiles - "Zircon", "Iskander-M" and "Kinzhal". In total, about 120 missiles and 90 drones were fired. Our air defense forces destroyed over 140 air targets," Zelensky wrote.
According to the Ukrainian president, the enemy has directed its attack against energy infrastructure throughout Ukraine, Ukrinform notes.
