Russia announced that its military forces have seized a new village in eastern Ukraine - Storzhevoe, located 15 km from the borders between Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, BTA reports.
The operation of the Russian troops is taking place in a region where they currently have a significant advantage over the Ukrainian army.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Storzhevoe is located in the eastern part of Donetsk region and was a former key Ukrainian military post. The surrounding village of Velika Novoselka, which Russian forces appear to be surrounding, could be the next target of their advance in the region.
