The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had held talks with the Finnish Foreign Minister and High Representative of the Finnish Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Elina Valtonen, quoted by BTA.

During the meeting, they discussed issues such as the protection of Ukrainian children, military aid to Kiev and the sanctions imposed against the Russian "shadow fleet", Ukrinform reported.

Finland began its rotating chairmanship of the OSCE on January 1, and Valtonen held a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga in Kiev.

Zelensky expressed gratitude for Valtonen's first visit, emphasizing that Ukraine remains a priority for the Finnish chairmanship of the OSCE. "The OSCE can play a greater role in protecting human life, and together we can move closer to lasting peace," the Ukrainian president said on social media.
