Billionaire Elon Musk has held private talks with allies about removing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer before the upcoming elections, Reuters and the Financial Times reported, quoted by News.bg.
Musk, who is the richest person in the world and a close ally of US President-elect Donald Trump, has repeatedly criticized British politics and demanded Starmer's resignation.
Last month, Musk supported the German anti-immigration party "Alternative for Germany" ahead of the elections scheduled for February and is analyzing how it could destabilize the Labour government. According to sources familiar with the situation, Musk is trying to build support for alternative political movements to change the British government.
"Musk believes that Western civilization is under threat," one of the sources said. He also accused Keir Starmer of failing to prosecute men who raped young girls while he was attorney general from 2008 to 2013. Starmer responded by saying he had defended his job as attorney general.
Later today, Musk will host a live interview with the leader of the "Alternative for Germany" party, Alice Weidel, on the social network X. The party, which Musk supports, has been labeled far-right by German security services.
Meanwhile, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has expressed concerns about Musk's interference in the political affairs of countries other than the United States.
