The current Croatian President Zoran Milanovic has convincingly won the second round of the presidential elections in the country with 77.8% of the vote, BNR reported.
This is according to an exit poll published immediately after the end of election day.
Milanovic, who was close to victory in the first round, is ahead by a huge margin of the candidate of the ruling conservative HDZ party (Croatian Democratic Union) Dragan Primorac, for whom about 22% of voters voted, according to an exit poll shown on Croatian state television.
Over 6,500 polling stations in the country opened at 8:00 a.m. (Bulgarian time) and closed at 8:00 p.m.
