Russia said today that it hopes for a “permanent stabilization of the situation“ in the Gaza Strip following the reaching of an agreement between Israel and "Hamas" for a ceasefire and the release of hostages, which was announced last night by mediators from Qatar, Egypt and the United States, reported Agence France-Presse, quoted by BTA.
"We hope that the implementation of the current agreement will contribute to a lasting stabilization of the situation in the Gaza Strip and will create conditions for the return of all temporarily displaced people," said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova at her regular weekly press conference.
