The Armed Forces of Ukraine have managed to shoot down a guided aerial bomb (GAB) launched by the Russian military over Zaporizhia. According to a source from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, an experimental weapon was used to shoot down the air target. This is reported by the Ukrainian Channel 24 and Informator.
"On February 6, during the air attack, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used an experimental weapon, which resulted in the destruction of an air target (CAB).
It is noted that the guided aerial bombs with which Russia is striking Zaporizhia have begun to be shot down, with Channel 24 adding that this is not the first case of a downed CAB.
"In Zaporizhia, they have begun to shoot down CAB. According to information from a source in the Defense Forces, yesterday morning, February 6, during an enemy air attack on a Russian bomb, an experimental weapon was used", the publication states.
It is noted that the target was hit, but debris fell on a truck on the outskirts of Zaporizhia, causing damage. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has not yet officially commented on the information about the downing of the KAB with an experimental weapon.
