She draws attention to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's response to the Danish intelligence report that if Russia attacks the alliance, it will lose, "the reaction will be simply crushing".

"Until recently, their rhetoric was reduced to calls for "defeating Russia on the battlefield" and "dealing a strategic defeat to the Russians". They also regularly supported the idea that "the Russian economy is torn to pieces"," writes Zakharova.

She adds that the Secretary General's statement does not talk about who will lose in the future, but about the fact that the "Ukrainian project" of the West has already lost.

"Now the accents are changing. It is obvious that they are no longer counting on the Kiev regime: they used it - they scrapped it. Another important emphasis is placed on the need to shift the arrows precisely to the EU part of the collective West, leaving the already sagging Western European economy alone with its problems created by the Anglo-Saxons“, Zakharova commented.

Earlier, the Danish intelligence service published a report stating that if the conflict in Ukraine ends or is frozen in the next five years, Russia will be able to start a full-scale conflict in Europe if the United States does not intervene.

"For his part, Russian President Vladimir Putin explained in detail in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson that Moscow will not attack NATO countries, there is no point in doing so. The Russian leader noted that Western politicians regularly scare their population with an imaginary Russian threat in order to divert attention from domestic problems, but intelligent people understand perfectly well that this is a fake, Russian media write.
