The Ukrainian government delegation is already in Saudi Arabia and is preparing for Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the kingdom, Ukrainian Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko said.
„We started the working visit with a meeting with almost a hundred local entrepreneurs. "In the coming days, we will hold dozens of meetings to prepare for Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to Saudi Arabia," Sviridenko said in a statement posted on her Facebook page.
According to her, the Ukrainian delegation discussed initiatives in the fields of energy, agriculture and infrastructure, as well as investment projects.
On Saturday, Politico reported, citing sources, that senior US officials had traveled to Saudi Arabia to begin talks with representatives of Russia and Ukraine in the coming days. Fox News reported that Ukraine had not been invited to participate in the upcoming US-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia and had not been informed about them.
Zelensky's chief adviser Mykhailo Podoliak also said that Ukraine had not sent negotiators to Saudi Arabia, justifying this by the fact that, in his opinion, "there is nothing on the negotiating table that can be discussed".
