The National Board of Tourism sent a letter to all state authorities in our country in connection with the active summer season that has begun and the increased traffic to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast on the “Thrakia“ highway.
"And this year, despite the assurances of the responsible authorities, repair works are again being carried out on the main road arteries of the country, which make it difficult for tourists to move, complicate the road situation and create a prerequisite for traffic accidents.
We appeal for the suspension of the repair work on the roads that lead to our seaside resorts or, in places where this is practically impossible, for the creation of a better organization for their completion in the shortest possible time, so as not to disturb the passenger flow to The Black Sea resorts" state in the letter to the authorities from the Board.
The facilitated movement of tourists not only sets the tone for the future holiday, but also predetermines its choice, which is directly related to the income for the national economy and the image of our country as a tourist destination.
