Most vegetables have become cheaper on the stock exchanges in the country this week as well, according to the data in the weekly bulletin of the State Commodity Commission exchanges and markets (DKSBT), BTA reported.

There is also a drop in the price of basic foodstuffs and some fruits.

The market price index (MPI), which reflects the movement of wholesale food prices in our country, decreased by 1.68 percent during the week to 2,048 points. Last week the ITC was at the level of 2,083 points. The base level of ITC - 1,000 points, is from 2005

The biggest reduction is in the price of potatoes - by 11.9 percent, and they are traded at BGN 1.11 per kilogram. Cabbage became cheaper by 7.5 percent to BGN 0.74 per kilogram, ripe onions by 5.8 percent to BGN 1.31 per kilogram, and ripe garlic by 4.4 percent to BGN 5.17 kilo. Carrots fell by 2.3 percent, with their price reaching BGN 1.26 per kilogram, as well as greenhouse tomatoes - by 0.8 percent to BGN 2.55 per kilogram.

Of the vegetables, there is only an increase in the price of cucumbers (import) - by 14.7 percent, and they are available at BGN 2.26 per kilogram, while the price of salad increases by 10.6 percent to 0.73 BGN per piece wholesale, and for greenhouse cucumbers - by 0.8 percent to BGN 2.55 per kilogram.

Imported apples rose in price by 2.9 percent and are traded at BGN 1.80 per kilogram. Lemons go up by 5.7 percent to BGN 2.80 per kilogram, bananas - by 2.2 percent to BGN 2.77 per kilogram. Strawberries fell by 6.7 percent to BGN 4.34 per kilogram, and cherries by 6.2 percent to BGN 3.35 per kilogram.

Cow cheese became cheaper by 1.1 percent to BGN 11.07 per kilogram. With 1.1 percent more to BGN 17.46 per kilogram, the "Vitosha" type cheese is available.

The price of yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) decreased by 1.7 percent and it is bought at BGN 1.15 for a bucket of 400 grams, while fresh milk (3 percent fat content) increased in price by 1 .3 percent and is traded at BGN 2.29 per liter.

Chicken meat became cheaper by 5.6 percent and is available at BGN 6.62 per kilogram. Eggs (size M) remain unchanged and are bought at BGN 0.27 per piece wholesale.

The price of rice is down by 0.9 percent to BGN 3.24 per kilogram, and that of lentils is up by 2.8 percent to BGN 4.34 per kilogram. Ripe beans fell by 0.2 percent to BGN 4.12 per kilogram.

Sugar became cheaper by 3.5 percent and was traded at BGN 1.92 per kilogram, oil by 2.2 percent to BGN 2.72 per liter. The price of type 500 flour also falls - by 8.3 percent to BGN 1.33 per kilogram. Cow butter (packet of 125 grams) is cheaper by 0.4 percent and it is bought at BGN 2.60 per piece.
