The German armed forces have signed a contract with the defense concern Rheinmetall for the purchase of munitions worth 8.5 billion euros, it is said in company press release.
„Dusseldorf technology group Rheinmetall has concluded a framework contract with the Bundeswehr for the supply of 155 mm artillery ammunition“, the company specifies.
The first deliveries under the new contract are planned for the beginning of 2025
„The main purpose of the order is to replenish our reserves and those of our allies”, the material notes. It says that part of the order will be awarded to Ukraine. “Netherlands, Estonia and Denmark participate in the order”, notes the manufacturer.
