A huge number of Western companies continue to work in Russia, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters. He mentioned this when answering a question about the importance of Western banks to the Russian economy. “They perform quite important functions of transferring funds. This is in the interest not only of our clients of these banks, but also of foreign ones”, said the representative of the Kremlin.
Peskov noted that “many Western companies are still operating in the Russian economy”. "They continue to work here. They have huge, multi-billion dollar investments here. Most companies have not left, but continue to operate in this market. And they use these banking services.
