The negative balance of foreign trade of Ukraine in 2024 exceeded 29 billion USD. Such data was provided in the Telegram channel by the head of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada Daniil Getmantsev.

“In 2024, foreign trade in goods amounted to 112.3 billion USD, exports - 41.6 billion USD, imports - 70.7 billion USD“, he wrote. The negative foreign trade balance amounted to 29.1 billion USD. USD, according to Getmantsev, “unfortunately, a record figure“.

The largest export items, which account for 78.1% of all exports of goods of Ukraine, are food products (24.6 billion USD, or 59.1%), metals and products from them (4.4 billion USD, or 10.6%), machinery, equipment and vehicles (3.5 billion USD, or 8.4%). The main recipients of Ukrainian products: Poland - 4.7 billion USD (11.3%), Spain - 2.9 billion USD (7%), Germany - 2.8 billion USD (6.7%).

The largest import items, which account for 64.5% of all imports of goods, according to Getmantsev, are machinery, equipment and vehicles (25 billion USD), chemical products (11.7 billion USD), fuel and energy resources (8.9 billion USD). The top three suppliers include China (USD 14.4 billion, or 20.4%), Poland (USD 7 billion, or 9.9%) and Germany (USD 5.4 billion, or 7.6%).
