The famous Bulgarian alpinist Doychin Vassilev died at 80- year old. This was reported by the journalist Ivan Popyordanov.

Doychin Vassilev is a participant in the three national Himalayan expeditions (Lhotse 1981, Everest 1984 and Annapurna 1989) and has in his career ascents of 5 eight-thousanders, although that of Shisha Pangma (8027 m) in 1999, together with d- r.
