Nikolay Denkov: Borisov would not have been arrested if justice had done its job - 1

"It is completely expected that Borisov did not invite us to negotiations. All the time we have a clash of two points of view on how to approach a government".

This was stated by the PP-DB MP Nikolay Denkov in front of BNT.

He has no doubt that "Democratic Bulgaria" have the same goals as "We continue the change".

"What we differ from them in is the way in which we expect this to happen. They said that they would go to negotiations and would clearly set the same conditions that we have set. Therefore, with respect, we told them: okay, go ahead, try".

According to Denkov, the probability of reaching agreements is low - so low that it makes no sense for the PP to sit down at the negotiating table. He also said that the requested immunities for two of his colleagues are not a cause, but a consequence of the dysfunctional justice system.

"We have been expecting this prosecutor's office for years to say what is happening with the hundreds of millions that disappeared from Corpbank, what is happening with "Montazhi" and the money for the dams - 500 million. What is happening with the 500 million from gambling, which Bozhkov said he paid to certain individuals gravitating around GERB? Why haven't charges been filed in these cases so far?

According to him, Boyko Borisov's arrest would not have happened if the justice system had done its job by that point.

"In addition to the general situation, there are specifics in which our services and our justice system have turned their heads to the side and do not actually want to clear things up and give a final conclusion".
