Daniel Valchev: Strange things are happening, but maybe there will be some kind of government

In principle, corruption is a problem for Bulgaria. A little spiteful, perhaps, but I can't help but mention that one part of those who are now negotiating accused the other part of those who are now negotiating of being the most corrupt, perhaps in the world, commented the former Deputy Prime Minister

Daniel Valchev: Strange things are happening, but maybe there will be some kind of government - 1

The prosecutor's office is always a political player, and not only in Bulgaria. This was stated in the program "Supportive People" by Prof. Daniel Valchev - former Deputy Prime Minister, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Sofia University. Thus he commented on the topic of the requested immunities due to the arrest of Boyko Borisov and drew a parallel with similar cases from years ago in France, and recently in the USA.
"How did cases against Donald Trump suddenly start at the moment when it became clear that he could return as President of the USA?... This is not unheard of. What distinguishes the situation in Bulgaria is that we do it in a more scandalous and Baiganiov-like way and secondly, that in fact liberal speakers believe that some have the right to do it, and others do not", Vulchev told Bulgaria ON AIR.
When asked by the host whether there will be regular governance against the backdrop of anti-corruption, which will be the glue of a possible government, Valchev replied: "I don't know if you remember - every government that comes puts a label on itself - whether it will be for European integration, whether it will be for Euro-Atlantic, I don't know what, whether it will be against something, whether it will be for something... They have chosen a title that is not bad. In principle, corruption is a problem for Bulgaria. A little mean, perhaps, but I cannot help but mention that one part of those who are now negotiating accused the other part of those who are now negotiating of being the most corrupt, perhaps, in the world. So strange things happen, but maybe there will be some kind of government, it's good to have a government."
