Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident at the Central Station in Sofia last night, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told BTA.
Earlier, the spokesperson for the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, Desislava Petrova, stated that all possible versions of the fire are being worked on - both an intentional act and an accidental incident.
Witnesses have been questioned, an inspection of the scene has been conducted, material evidence has been seized, expert examinations have been ordered, and other investigative actions are being carried out, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office indicated.
The investigation into the case continues.
We recall that at around 2:35 a.m. a signal was received on the 112 telephone about a burning carriage at the Central Station. According to initial data from BDZ, a group of homeless people illegally entered the carriage. The police reported that four people died in the incident. Two people suffered burns and were transported to the University Hospital of Medical Sciences “N.I.Pirogov“.
