Is there a chance that the government negotiations will continue? The topic was commented on in the studio of "Hello, Bulgaria" by sociologist Elena Darieva and political scientist Tsvetanka Andreeva.
"So far, none of the participants in the cabinet negotiations have spoken out, which perhaps means that they are continuing", Andreeva believes. Darieva pointed out that we are in a situation to judge what is happening by indirect signs.
On the topic of the equidistant prime minister, Andreeva said that “it did not become clear to anyone except for those who proposed it, but not a single name was given even as an example”. She does not believe that the figure of a prime minister can be a stumbling block. Darieva said that shifting the blame for the termination of the cabinet talks solely onto “Democratic Bulgaria” is a test of reactions. “The negotiations are about to enter a difficult stage and therefore, as a preventive measure, GERB-SDF is issuing a warning that it will end if the others are not more accommodating”, the sociologist added.
”If the four-party coalition becomes possible now, this will show that it can not only reach compromises, but also process political conflicts”, believes Andreeva.
”In my opinion, the main danger is in the next floating majorities that we may observe in parliament on certain topics, regardless of whether an agreement will be signed,”, Darieva pointed out.
