“Bulgaria needs a sustainable majority. This is important so that we can also have a stable government that will defend our national interest abroad, improve living conditions and create conditions for development inside the country. I want to wish the new government success in fulfilling these important and responsible tasks. This government was born out of the need to put an end to the political crisis and this endless cycle of elections. The horizon of the parliament depends on what goals it sets and with what means and methods it will achieve these goals. The most important thing is for the cabinet to conduct policy and work in the interest of the Bulgarian people”, commented President Rumen Radev after the “Zhelyazkov” cabinet was sworn in.
According to the head of state, the composition of the newly elected regular cabinet is very diverse and complex. "All people in this government must assert their independence from political and oligarchic circles with a clear interest in power, the judiciary and public procurement," Radev also pointed out.
