The new Minister of Education Krasimir Valchev announced as one of his priorities a change in the curricula, because, according to him, they do not work in the best way, reports BNT.
A concept of how they should look will also be developed. Changes are planned in the assessment of students. Valchev plans to provide more free time for both students and teachers. At this stage, the previous deputy ministers of education remain.
"Let's change the culture of learning, let's shake off the culture of learning. "Let's re-function towards the functionality of knowledge, to a greater extent towards skills, because you see our internal and external assessments show that our system is doing very well when we talk about assessing knowledge and very poorly when measuring the functionality of knowledge - skills," commented Valchev.
