I would not like to give an assessment of all the ministers, even including those who do not fall under the obvious portfolio they should hold, because I have seen this for a long time. We must judge by their cases.
This was told to BNT by the former Minister of Internal Affairs from the "Borisov - 3" cabinet; Valentin Radev.
According to him, appointing Daniel Mitov as Minister of Internal Affairs will lead to necessary reforms in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"I can say that for example for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where I was and Daniel Mitov is now. My assessment is that it is better for him to be an external one. If, on one condition, however, it is better for him to be an external one for longer periods. But in this case, hopefully they have a longer period to be there as ministers, in this case Daniel Mitov, he will also achieve reforms. In the sense of some changes. Reforms should not scare anyone. Systems need to be optimized", said Valentin Radev.
Regarding the reservations regarding the first appointments and specifically against Ivaylo Ivanov, who headed the political cabinet of Interior Minister Daniel Mitov, Valentin Radev commented:
"My assessment is that, as we politicians like to say, we take political responsibility. Excuse me, then he took political responsibility. He is a professional and it is good that he is there now, because there should be such people around Daniel Mitov. And I, so I will watch with curiosity who the deputy ministers will be.
I advise you to accept them and let us judge them on their cases".
