"This is the first coalition of parties that were expelled from power for a long time. This was the big change".
This opinion was expressed to the Bulgarian National Radio by journalist Ruzha Raicheva. According to her, the stumbling blocks before the government are many.
"They must learn to work calmly, not to create scandals, to keep things running routinely. Momentary tremors will reach us from time to time. (…) Nothing unites them, except that they want specific ministerial positions. I don't know what this coalition looks like. They are trying to sell the thesis of responsibility. We are not even told about salvation. This is the government's packaging".
"A test is being conducted to return old people to power who were disgraced during the protests. They are testing – wherever the number passes, wherever it is not noticed, they will return whoever they can. Because this is not a reformist government", the journalist commented on the program "Above All" about the tension surrounding the post of Ivaylo Ivanov.
It will be a big battle for the regulators, she expects.
I expect that it is possible that we will go to elections this year, she does not rule it out.
"The longest horizon is next spring".
The participation of part of the camp of change in this government is an abdication,Raicheva believes.
In her words, ITN are very likely to spoil this coalition, because their image as oppositionists has been damaged and there is a major turnaround in Slavi Trifonov's position.
"He is an easy victim. ITN are an easy victim. The fact that they made a striking turnaround. Many of their voters hope that Slavi Trifonov will turn the tables. But it seems to me that he and ITN have entered a new phase in politics".
"Whoever leads it, the BSP has gone in a very bad direction. They are no longer an anti-gender party, they are not a conservative party. It is not clear whether they still support the idea of peace in Ukraine," Raicheva also noted.
"I expect drastic changes. Trump is in his final term. A man who was pressured, tried to be assassinated several times. Everything that Trump announced yesterday is a huge change for the entire Western world. It will resonate throughout the world, including in Bulgaria," said Ruza Raicheva, specifically mentioning the statement about the Green Deal and the return of both sexes by law.
