Kiril Petkov and Assen Vassilev commented to the media on the country's budget and other current topics.
"We caught GERB and Borisov lying about the 18 billion, now he decided to lie that he talked to me about the law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs", said Vassilev, quoted by Dariknews.bg. According to him, the Law on the Ministry of Interior was adopted with 141 votes "in favor".
"As Finance Minister, my policy has always been that if they reduce the staff, their funds are not reduced and can be used to increase the salaries of the rest of the system workers", said Vassilev.
He asked journalists what exactly the "Border Police" on the Tower was doing. He said that a plan should have been made for entering Schengen, where there is a need to strengthen it. "Let's remove the "Border Police" from the checkpoints where there are no longer checks", he urged.
Kiril Petkov also joined in with a comment. "We want to help GERB with some 3 billion. per year, which should not be taken from Bulgarian business and taxpayers, but will go into the budget. This is the bill that we introduced for gas transit," he said. Petkov explained that 20 leva per 180 million megawatts is equal to 3 billion per year in the treasury.
"Will Borisov be ready to ignore his friendship with Orban or will he be able to play against Putin, to put this money in the treasury to go to kindergartens, schools, for all the expenses that are needed," Petkov said.
