Martin Dimitrov: The increase in salaries in the Ministry of Interior should be for people with police functions, not for the administration - 1

The increase in salaries in the Ministry of Interior by 50% is unheard of, it was unprepared and there is no differentiation within the system. This was stated by the MP from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" Martin Dimitrov to journalists, BTA reports. He participated in honoring the memory of the victims of the communist regime and marking the 80th anniversary of the death sentences of the People's Court.

A few days ago, Bozhidar Bozhanov from the PP-DB said that they are proposing very specific measures and the government can comply with at least some of them if they want to show a real desire for a 3% deficit. Among them, he pointed out a distinction in the Ministry of Interior between police officers who are on the street and those who work behind a desk, the gradual release of pensioners, auctions in private hospitals for medicines, and the optimization of the administration.

The increase in salaries should be for people with police functions, not for the administration. We want the increase to concern people who risk their lives and are on the street. It is strange to give the administration a 50% increase, explained Dimitrov.

There should always be reform actions in every budget, because if new and new expenses accumulate, if measures are not taken, this starts to give deviations and cause problems, the MP also said.
