In connection with numerous statements by representatives of the Sofia Municipality regarding the violations established by the DNSK during the repair and reconstruction of “Opalchenska” Street, we consider it necessary to clarify the case:
The Directorate for National Construction Control is a non-partisan body, staffed by specialists with proven experience in their field.
Taking samples from “Opalchenska” Street was carried out in accordance with all legal requirements by NISI - Scientific Research Construction Institute, with the participation of representatives of DNSK, MRDPW, Sofia Municipality and the construction supervision of the site.
A large number of experts from NISI - associate professors, engineers, etc., each of whom is a proven specialist in their field, took part in the preparation of the technical expertise itself for the construction materials used in the site.
In this regard, the claims that the violations identified have a political context belittle the work of all those who participated in the inspection.
As we have always stated, the interest of citizens and compliance with the Law come first. And in this sense, calls for non-compliance by the Sofia Municipality are unacceptable.
We appeal to all participants in the construction of ul. “Opalchenska” to approach the case responsibly and take measures to eliminate the violations committed.
