The saga with the results of the last parliamentary vote – is about to be resolved. The decision of the Constitutional Court in the case of challenging the election results is expected.
The CEC has already provided the Constitutional Court with the final data from the recalculation of the election data.
This was reported by BNT.
This happened yesterday after a meeting of the Electoral Commission, when the new deadline given for this to “Information Services“ also expired. The day before, the leadership of the CEC and "Information Services" was heard at an extraordinary session of parliament.
In the plenary hall, it became clear that 780 votes from 7 sections had disappeared after the inspection by experts from the Constitutional Court. It also became clear that the head of the “Information Service” Ivaylo Filipov personally filed a report with the prosecutor's office due to the missing votes.
The prosecutor's office then requested the Constitutional Court to provide documents on the election case, but the court refused to provide the materials on the grounds that the constitutional case had not been concluded.
The scandal erupted after on Monday, in a statement on BNT, the chairman of the Constitutional Court Pavlina Panova announced that an attempt was being made to sabotage the case to challenge the legality of the vote.
