The deputies adopted the State Budget Act for 2025 on second reading in the line committee, without changes to the texts of the submitter, NOVA reported, quoted by dariknews.bg.
In less than an hour, the budget committee adopted the social security plan. Without amendments, they adopted the minimum pension to be 630 leva, and the maximum social security income - 4,130 leva.
„Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria” demanded that the current maximum income be maintained.
A proposal also came from „Democracy Rights and Freedoms“ – MRF.
Martin Dimitrov from PP-DB pointed out that the most productive part of the population should not be taxed. And Hasan Ademov from “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms“- MRF proposed that the threshold for self-employed persons be maintained at these levels, because farmers cannot afford it. Both proposals were rejected.
Nearly 38,000 amendments to the State Budget Act, prepared by "Vazrazhdane", were dropped from the debates.
Pavela Mitova from ITN explained that there are changes to the same articles with 11 stotinki, 12 stotinki, etc. “This abuse is a deliberate act and it contradicts the decisions of the Constitutional Court“, she said.
The revenue part of the budget was sharply criticized by the opposition, as was the idea of voluntary contributions by companies in infrastructure projects with the possibility of tax breaks.
