Boiko Borisov saw a wonderful opportunity to lie to the public in order to legalize and explain why he has been receiving Delyan Peevski's support all along. This was stated by MP Nikolay Denkov from the PP-DB.
"In recent weeks, we have heard three big lies that Borisov and Peevski are using to manipulate public opinion. The first is that there is some kind of conspiracy on the part of the Constitutional Court. The conspiracy was during the elections, when the manipulations were organized, which have now been exposed. The attempt to shift the problem onto the Constitutional Court is only to cover up this organization that was created during the elections. The second lie is that "Majesty" is entering because of these seven sections. It's elementary arithmetic. Anyone can do it to see that the result for "Velicie" does not change from these seven sections. The third lie is that GERB has lost its majority," he said.
"These are three grandiose manipulations that everyone should understand," Denkov added.
"We saw that after we submitted the proposal for free medicines for children up to 7 years old, after a lot of public pressure, GERB caved in. They tried to make them from September 1, but they didn't succeed and they will be from July 1. However, the problem is much deeper, because yesterday proposals were rejected, most of which do not cost the budget money. The proposal to pay maternity leave in full at 100% when mothers return to work. This actually brings revenue to the budget, because mothers, when they go to work, pay insurance, and otherwise stay at home and receive 100% of maternity leave anyway. It was rejected by GERB, BSP, ITN and Novo nachalo," said the co-chair of the PP.
According to him, it is understandable for GERB, because they never wanted to have a social policy. "I am extremely surprised that the BSP is abandoning traditionally left-wing policies," he said.
Vassilev announced that the creation of a new three-year program for the construction of kindergartens and nurseries was also rejected.
