Tottenham are keen to sign Conor Gallagher from Premier League rivals Chelsea before kick-off of the summer transfer window, reports The Sun, quoted by Topsport.
Gallagher is under contract with Chelsea for just one more season, making him a convenient transfer target for other Premier League sides. "The Blues" have yet to extend the midfielder's contract and if they don't they will be looking for around £40m for his rights.
According to The Sun, Chelsea may feel obliged to part with some of their players before July 1 to avoid penalties under the Financial Fair Play rules.
Tottenham also made early transfers last year, bringing in James Maddison and Guillermo Vicario in June.
