The Executive Director of Ludogorets Angel Petrichev gave an interview to colleagues from Darik and dsport, writes Topsport. In it, he stated that representatives of teams from the Premier League of England were watching players of the "Eagles" from Razgrad.
Here's what else he shared:
- How many footballers have a promise that they will be transferred in the summer?
I can't say such things because it is a constant process that is constantly changing. I can say for sure that quite a few of our players are being watched by very big clubs, including the Premier League. You yourself understand that teams from England observe players directly in the Bulgarian national team speaks well not only for Ludogorets, but for everyone.
Ludogorets sells expensively, but Ludogorets knows how to do the math well. We know that to get ahead you need to invest correctly. We also invest in infrastructure. We also invest in the academy. It is no coincidence that we announced last week about our new multifunctional sports hall, which we put into operation. You know that she has some of the money from the transfer of Dominic Yankov. She raises our academy to a higher level.
- How do you retain football players who want to take a bigger step, but Ludogorets needs them in order for Ludogorets to take the step forward?
- It's not easy. This is one of the biggest challenges in our work. Our sports and technical department, headed by Georgi Karamandjukov, showed that they have a good sense and find rough diamonds that are interesting in the market. You saw what career Igor Tiago had. It was very underrated, but our colleagues discovered it, brought it here and developed it. It's not just him. We have a few guys in the squad who are a constant subject of interest from big teams. It is very difficult. We resist this natix. One of the important things is that we make great efforts for the players, when they come to the club, to accept it as their family and devote themselves to it. When a footballer loves the club, the task becomes easier.
