Novak Djokovic will participate in the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, announced the Serbian Olympic Committee, quoted by AP and BTA.
Until recently, the world number 1 and winner of 24 Grand Slam titles was forced to retire from "Roland Garros" after a knee injury, underwent surgery and said he wanted to return to the court "as soon as possible".
This will be Djokovic's fifth appearance at the Olympics, with the title at this forum having so far eluded him. He has only won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Games in his first appearance.
The tennis tournament of the Olympic Games begins on July 27 on the courts of "Roland Garros".
