Russia has announced that it is developing a new cancer vaccine, which will be released in early 2025. According to information from TASS, the vaccine will be provided free of charge to the general population, News.bg reports.
It is based on mRNA technology and will aim to prevent tumor growth and the formation of metastases.
The drug will not be universal, but individualized. Each dose will be tailored to the patient's biological profile, so that the vaccine has maximum effect in a particular case. The Russian mRNA preparation will provide the body with “instructions” to create a tumor protein that will be recognized and eliminated by the immune system.
These scientific advances lead to new hope in the treatment of cancer, and the implementation of the vaccine and its impact on the disease will be monitored.
