In his annual press conference, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov presented a series of distorted facts, misleading statements and outright lies aimed at diverting attention from Russia's actions on the world stage, writes EUvsDisinfo, exposing another series of lies and gross manipulations by Moscow.
As Russia's bloody invasion approaches its third anniversary, Lavrov said that Russia is “not interested in territorial gains“ in Ukraine, but rather in the well-being of the people of Ukraine. The absurd claim contradicts the brutal actions Russia has carried out in places like Bucha and Mariupol, where countless civilians have been killed, tortured and displaced. Lavrov's words contradict the destroyed Ukrainian cities, destroyed lives and millions of refugees fleeing – which proves that Russia's focus is on destruction, not the well-being of the people it claims to protect.
