Several thousand Polish citizens may be deported from the United States, the republic's Deputy Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski told journalists.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Tuesday that he had asked Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski to advise Polish consulates in the United States to be prepared for possible deportations of Poles from the United States in connection with President Donald Trump's statements.
“This problem may affect several thousand of our compatriots“, Bartoszewski said.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that his administration would immediately begin to deal with the problem of illegal migration, promising to stop the "border invasion" with Mexico by the evening of January 20.
