According to him, Vladimir Putin will continue to attack and bomb Ukraine and peace is not expected on the horizon at the moment.
Albarez stressed that European leaders will discuss in Paris how to prevent the start of peace talks on Ukraine, which, in his opinion, would reward Russian aggression.
The minister made these comments before an extraordinary summit of European leaders, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron on the war in Ukraine. The meeting was called after US officials suggested that Europe would not play a role in talks to end the conflict.
