A new scheme has turned dozens of people into debtors for life . How it works and what are the ways to protect ourselves are commented by the journalist Tatiana Yordanova and Tihomir Toshev, a credit consultant, in the program "Crossroads" on Nova TV.
In the heading “High voltage” NOVA reporter Tatiana Yordanova told about a man who became a victim of fraud for hundreds of thousands of BGN. There are dozens of victims of the following scheme: a person is persuaded to withdraw loans from various banks within 1-2 days as an individual. He then passes this money on to the people who convinced him, with the stipulation that the money will be returned to him with a commission.
"The word “fictitious” is the intersection point in each of the stories. It has been explained to people that they are taking out a loan that they will not have to cover, because it will be repaid on the same day, Yordanova pointed out. According to her, often their friends and relatives have become credit consultants and have asked them for a favor.
„It is not right to take out loans on behalf of other people, no matter how close they are to us. We cannot do such a service, we cannot take credit for them. You receive the money and you return it, no one can repay a loan for you", explained credit consultant Tihomir Toshev.
