Borislav Gutsanov: We are ready for compromises, but not for endless concessions - 1

Speaking of support for a future government, Borislav Gutsanov, representative of the "BSP - United Left", emphasized that his party will seeks to act "statefully" and "reasonable", but does not accept the idea of a political cabinet with the participation of GERB.

"I believe that there should be a meeting between the first and second political power. They are right-wing parties and it is normal that when there is a majority, it should be between them. There are enough votes in the National Assembly of political parties that are in this sector," Gutsanov said in "Denyat ON AIR".

He added that "BSP – United Left" is ready for compromises, but not for endless discounts.

"We are politically responsible, but that does not mean that there can be endless compromises. You saw that we were able to unite for the Speaker of the National Assembly, thanks to the wisdom and compromises both on our part and on the part of the other parties", the representative told Bulgaria ON AIR.

One of the main topics during the conversation was the question of the formation of an expert cabinet. Gutsanov expressed the opinion that it is possible to form such a cabinet, provided that people are proposed who are acceptable to everyone and can deal with the crisis.

The topic of political differences between parties was also discussed. Gutsanov emphasized that "BSP – United Left" cannot support the provision of arms to Ukraine, arguing its position with the principles of peace and stability.

"Giving arms to Ukraine is something we cannot agree on in any way", the deputy was categorical.

Gutsanov emphasized the importance of a reasonable approach and statesmanship, which, according to him, are key to overcoming the political crisis in Bulgaria.

"At the moment, the two most important institutions in the country, the presidential and the national assembly, are connected to the BSP. This shows that in such difficult moments we know what to do", Gutsanov noted.
