“A truck is not made to pay a fee to get a number plate. Getting a number plate is free. If there is no queue, there is no need to stop”, said Ruse Mayor Pencho Milkov at a briefing in connection with the inspection distributed by Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev for the reorganization of traffic on the “Danube Bridge”, Nova TV reported.
The prime minister's actions came after a report by Nova TV that in order to cross the border with Romania, drivers must first get a number plate from a private parking lot.
According to Milkov, after an inspection, they found that there was no problem. “The system works when there is a queue, when there is no queue, cars should pass freely”, the mayor pointed out.
