The area of the railway accident, in which two people died near Lokorsko, is still cordoned off and inspections are continuing.
"The problem has existed for years. But in recent times it has become much more serious. It is about the total underfunding of the system, which leads to an outflow of personnel, total demotivation. Bulgaria has the best railway workers, but due to the total neglect of the sector, there are fewer and fewer of them left", he said in "The Day Begins" on BNT, expert and former railway worker Mihail Rangelov.
In such incidents, he added, the railway workers always end up being at fault, not the politicians.
"Last year alone, I have covered over 20 cases of running a red light, which is a gross violation of the rules, which in this case may have been the cause of the incident".
