Eintracht narrowly beat Werder Bremen 1-0 in Frankfurt in a meeting of the 11th round of the German Bundesliga, FOCUS reported.

The match was played at the "Deutsche Bank Park" stadium.

The only goal was scored by Mario Gotze in the 45th minute after a pass from Jugo Ekitike.

With the victory, Eintracht climbed to 2nd place in the provisional standings with an asset of 23 points. It was the third consecutive success for them in the championship. Werder are 10th with 15 points.
